Site Manager / Working Foreman - Birmingham Projects
Are you a hands-on leader with strong site management skills and a passion for keeping projects on track? We have two exciting, fast-paced projects launching next week in Birmingham-on Waterloo Street and Temple Street-that need a dedicated Site Manager who's also comfortable stepping in as a working foreman. These projects demand someone who can confidently utilise tools like Breadcrumb and Procore for seamless site coordination while still rolling up their sleeves when needed.
You'll be overseeing a concise but critical scope: starting 17/08/2024, the CPC project will run for approximately two weeks, wrapping up by 03/09/2024, while the Temple Street job involves 3-4 days focused on data and power installations to floor boxes. This role blends leadership with hands-on involvement, ensuring smooth, safe, and timely delivery.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in site management or working foreman roles, ideally on small-to-medium scale construction or fit-out projects.
- Proficient with Breadcrumb and Procore software for site reporting and project communication.
- Strong leadership with the ability to manage teams effectively on-site.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform hands-on work and assist operationally when necessary.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with data and power installations, particularly floor boxes.
- Familiarity with contract programme coordination (CPC).
- Competence in multitasking between site management and active trade duties.
- Previous experience managing multiple small projects simultaneously.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant qualification in construction management, site supervision, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar site management or working foreman capacity.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to commence work at short notice starting Monday, 17/08/2024.
- Location: Must be available to work on-site in Birmingham.
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent site access certification.
