Role Overview
We love what we do, and it shows. Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients. This role combines two distinct revenue streams into a single regional position: event sales (private hire, corporate buyouts, ticketed events) and brand activations (liquor partnerships, sponsorship-led events, beverage and lifestyle brand collaborations). The role works across both Time Out Market DUMBO and Time Out Market Union Square.
The role reports hard line to the Director of Marketing, New York Markets, who owns the integrated commercial marketing strategy across both sites including the brand activations and sponsorship programme. A strong dotted line to both site General Managers ensures operational coordination on event sales delivery and commercial alignment with site trading. This is an expansion of the existing Regional Event Sales Manager role. The event sales scope is unchanged. The brand activations scope is new and reflects the commercial opportunity to convert relationships with liquor, beverage and lifestyle brands into incremental site revenue through sponsorship, hosted events and themed activations. The role works in close partnership with the Marketing Operations and Activations Manager, who owns the day-to-day execution of activations across both sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming event inquiries for Time Out Market DUMBO and Time Out Market Union Square and ensure follow-up the same business day.
- Cultivate new event streams by interacting with local businesses to cater to their event needs. Consistently strive to increase customer base.
- Coordinate all administrative event details with clients from inquiry to close, including negotiating, executing proposals, contracts, credit card authorisation forms, processing payments and deposits, developing floor plans, post event follow-up and lost business reports.
- Work with the chefs and operators of each concession to develop competitive, exciting and diverse catering and event offerings.
- Coordinate with the Time Out Market Operations Team and both site General Managers on logistical event details, including site inspections, tastings, vendor meetings and day-of on-site client contact.
- Build and maintain the client database to ensure repeat business.
- Conduct weekly BEO meetings with both site management teams.
- Manage the Triple Seat program including conversion of inquiries and lost.
