CASTING PRODUCER – CBeebies Series
We're looking for an experienced Casting Producer with CBeebies or preschool experience to join our team at Time For Productions on a new CBeebies preschool series.
The role will start late August/early September for an initial 6–8 weeks, with the possibility of extending.
Applicants must be available to start within this period; please let us know about any pre-booked leave when applying.
This senior role will take the lead on casting children and families across the UK, working closely with the Series Producers and managing a small casting/research team.
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and brilliant with people, with a strong understanding of casting for CBeebies and experience working sensitively with young children and their families.
Time for Celebrations (20 x 14') is an exciting new series exploring a wide range of celebrations and festivals.
Each episode focuses on a different religious or cultural celebration, following 5–6-year-olds and their families as they prepare for the occasion.
Along the way, the children take part in age-appropriate activities, helping with the preparations while experiencing the excitement, magic and wonder of celebrating together.
The series is filmed by a small, experienced crew using a child-focused, unobtrusive approach.
We're looking for someone with
- Strong Casting Producer experience, including CBeebies or preschool television experience.
- Excellent experience casting children and families.
- A passion for finding diverse, authentic contributors from across the UK.
- Excellent organisation, communication and contributor management skills.
- Experience managing or overseeing a small casting/research team.
- An interest in religious and cultural celebrations, and the sensitivity required when working with families from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Ideally, someone comfortable shooting and editing simple casting tapes as part of the casting process.
