Due to their continued success, our client is currently recruiting for a Technical Senior Team Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to join a dynamic organisation committed to excellence. The Technical Senior Team Manager will lead and oversee the Technical Department, ensuring the highest standards of service and quality of work while delivering exceptional technical customer service in an efficient and effective manner.

Although previous technical experience, or experience within a similar environment, is highly desirable, this role places a strong emphasis on team leadership, people management, and driving departmental performance.

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a successful track record of managing large teams within a technical services environment or similar
  • Demonstrable ability to drive team performance, foster collaboration, and inspire confidence within both the management team and the wider department
  • Proven experience managing employee relations matters and resolving people-related challenges
  • Experience within the construction sector or a related technical field, with a sound understanding of industry standards and best practices, is preferred
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous personal and professional development
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Proactively support the achievement of departmental objectives through effective people management, including coaching, training, scheduling, counselling, recruitment, selection, and disciplinary processes, in conjunction with the HR Department, Head of Technical, and Technical Management Team
  • Manage the overall day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the Technical Services Department
  • Collaborate with Directors and Heads of Department to align technical processes with organisational objectives and support operational change
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Technical Department, including Managers, Supervisors, and Coordinators, ensuring a consistent and cohesive leadership approach
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development to support the growth and effectiveness of the technical management team
  • Ensure the timely completion of technical tasks and projects, escalating issues to the Head of Technical where appropriate
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on departmental performance, key metrics, workflow efficiencies, and service delivery standards
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence throughout the Technical Department
