Do you have an eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for helping people through tough situations? We’re looking for a Total Loss Claims Adjuster to join our clients fast-paced, supportive team and make a real impact for their customers.
Please be advised that this role is 100% remote, therefore applicants must be comfortable and at ease working from home.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and process motor insurance claims where vehicles are deemed beyond economical repair. This includes evaluating damage, determining repair costs, liaising with motor engineers, and negotiating settlements with third-party insurers.
- Identify and quantify losses such as vehicle repairs, replacement vehicle costs, recovery, storage, and loss of earnings. Proactively pursue recoveries from third parties, insurers, or agents to recoup customer-incurred expenses.
- Conduct in-depth investigations by gathering relevant information, reviewing documentation, interviewing involved parties, and interpreting policy terms to establish indemnity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for policyholders, offering expert advice on the claims process, providing regular updates, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Lead negotiations with third-party insurers and agents to secure favourable settlements, enhance recovery success, and reduce claim durations.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all recovery efforts, including correspondence, negotiations, and financial transactions.
- Ensure all claims handling adheres to legal standards, industry regulations, and company quality benchmarks, promoting fair outcomes and exceptional service delivery.
- Deliver high-quality, accurate interactions with stakeholders, consistently upholding the professional standards of the business.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within motor claims total loss or recoveries – commercial or personal.
- Ability to deal with delegated authority and client philosophies.
- Curious and motivated by problem solving and questioning the status quo.
- Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development.
- Willingness to travel for client and claims needs.
