We are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established business in Felixstowe who are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for liaising with Customers, Customs Authorities and handling Import Customs Clearances from start to finish to support the successful forwarding of the goods.

Key Duties Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all Import declarations
  • Completing import customs declarations in accordance with customer instructions
  • Prioritising clearances based on arrival date
  • Providing Customer support by providing guidance on Customs related matters
  • Ensuring customs compliance is maintained at all times
  • Delivering high levels of customer service at all times whilst having a good understanding of commercial awareness.

Skills Experience Required:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in UK Import Customs Clearances
  • Understanding of CDS procedures and customs compliance
  • Understanding of incoterms in a customs clearance environment
  • Knowledge of UK Online Customs Tariff and other HMRC websites and tools
  • Strong knowledge of CNS, Destin8 and various HMRC portals.

Role Details:

Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30 Occasional weekend and bank holiday work may be required.
