Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Property Claims Handler to join our client’s team, managing a varied caseload of property claims from initial notification through investigation and assessment to successful settlement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident claim’s professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage property claims end-to-end, from first notification through to settlement.
- Review policy coverage and assess claims, liability and property damage.
- Investigate claims and gather, review and evaluate relevant evidence.
- Negotiate settlements with customers, insurers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders.
- Liaise effectively with brokers, underwriters, customers and third parties.
- Handle enquiries, complaints and correspondence promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims records in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage a varied caseload, prioritising effectively while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in insurance claims handling is essential.
- Previous property claims experience is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of insurance products, policy coverage and claims processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Customer-focused, professional and proactive in your approach.
- Confident managing multiple claims and competing priorities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
