Time Appointments are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Bury St Edmunds who are seeking an experienced Probate Assistant to join their friendly and supportive Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to further their career within a reputable firm known for delivering high-quality legal services and exceptional client care.

Supporting the firm’s Private Client Solicitors, you will play a key role in assisting with the administration of estates and probate matters from instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation of probate applications
  • Drafting legal documentation and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and HMRC
  • Gathering information regarding estate assets and liabilities
  • Assisting with preparation of estate accounts
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and file administration
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
  • Providing exceptional client service at all times
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience within a Probate or Private Client team is essential
  • Strong understanding of probate processes and estate administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident liaising with clients in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
