You'll work closely with a diverse client base, providing trusted legal advice on a range of private client matters while building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and professional team where your expertise will be valued, your development encouraged, and no two days are quite the same.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of private client matters from initial instruction through to completion
- Advising clients on Wills, Trusts, Probate and Estate Administration
- Providing clear and practical advice on Inheritance Tax and related matters
- Handling Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters where required
- Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients and their families
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation accurately and efficiently
- Liaising with beneficiaries, executors, trustees and other professional advisers
- Managing client files in accordance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring all matters are progressed efficiently and within relevant deadlines
- Supporting the wider Private Client team and contributing to the continued success of the department
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Qualified Solicitor with previous experience within a Private Client department
- Strong knowledge and practical experience across Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Confident working independently while also contributing positively to a wider team
- A professional, approachable and empathetic manner when dealing with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
