We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established law firm in Bury St Edmunds, who are looking to expand their successful conveyancing team with the appointment of an experienced Conveyancer. Our client has an excellent reputation within the local market and is committed to employee wellbeing and development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled conveyancer to manage a varied residential caseload from instruction through to completion, delivering a high standard of client care throughout.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters including; Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, Re-mortgages, Transfers of equity and New build transactions
- Handling files from instruction to post-completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Providing clear and regular updates to clients and third parties
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, and reports on title
- Conducting due diligence, title checks, and raising and responding to enquiries
- Liaising effectively with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, developers, and clients
- Ensuring all regulatory requirements and internal compliance procedures are met
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file records and case management systems
- Delivering exceptional levels of client care and service
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing is essential
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or experienced Fee Earner
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Strong technical knowledge of residential property law
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- High level of attention to detail
- Professional, confident, and client-focused communication style
- Proactive, motivated, and commercially aware
