Time 4 Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for a Permanent Plumber based in Peterborough working for a leading Facilities Management Contractor. You will be joining a highly reputable contractor whose expertise spans the design, construction and maintenance of building and critical infrastructure worldwide. The ideal permanent plumber for this role will be someone who has previously worked on commercial and industrial Maintenance Projects – and happy to travel to various sites This role of Mobile Plumber is to start as soon as possible and will involve working between three Private Finance Initiative school contracts. Your Hours of work will be : 8am until 5pm (1 hr lunch break) Your role as Permanent Plumber • To maintain appropriate qualifications and up-to-date trade knowledge as may be required for the safe and efficient performance of duties, specifically in the plumbing trade. • To apply the relevant trade skills to undertake scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks proactively or as directed. This will include pumps, pipework, valves, leaks, blockages etc. This will from time to time include installation and project type works. • To immediately report and/or make safe, to the appropriate place or person, any potentially dangerous or hazardous situations. • To manage workload using PDA handheld device and be familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software system. • To ensure the satisfactory, prompt and accurate completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company. • To advise on parts/labour for additional works interfacing with suppliers as required and to recommend and maintain an adequate stock level to ensure service delivery. • To oversee specialist contractors and to escort where required. • To participate in the on-call rota when required. • To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety management Plans. The ideal candidate: • Formal Qualifications to NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent • Have an understanding of the maintenance requirements of building services assets associated within a multi-site environment. • Have an understanding of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work • Hold a full driving license and be able to travel independently between sites • You will be required to undertake and achieve Enhanced DBS Certification • Hold a full, clean driving licence.
