Time 4 Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Temporary Facades Site Manager role located in Birmingham working for a well-established, main contractor in the UK. Our client specialises in key construction projects including new build and refurbishments of hotel and leisure, commercial, industrial, health and education.
The project involves 4 blocks with student accommodation apartments plus some retail, commercial and community space. The role of Facades Manager is to start on the 5th January 2026 for 4 weeks.
You MUST have a proven career history and experience of working on externals and facades projects including cladding and facades on RC frame β ideally hotels or student accommodation or luxury tower block apartments.
Responsibilities as Externals Site Manager:- Carry out the quality control, testing and inspection plans on all aspects of cladding and faΓ§ade;
- Managing and being the principal contact for the facade contractor commercially and operationally;
- Managing any delays/problems on-site;
- Producing a program of works;
- Managing quality control;
- Reporting progress to site management and recording progress against a program deadline;
- Required to keep within the budget;
- Will be directly responsible for the day-to-day facade construction of the project;
- Inspecting the work carried out;
- Liaise and work collaboratively with the internal design team and any external team as and when required;
- Maintain high levels of health & safety throughout the project ensuring work is always carried out in a safe manner;
- Communicate and project materials and consumables requirements;
- Required to keep within the time-scale;
- Work with the logistics manager to ensure deliveries and lifts are carried out on time.
- Experience with RC Frame β Multi Storey β Student Accommodation;
- SMSTS;
- CSCS;
- First Aid;
- Previous experience as an Externals Site Manager β cladding and facades;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Externals experience;
- Strong track record of delivering projects in a timely manner;
- Experience in previous residential schemes;
- Must be computer literate.
