Timberwise is a family run specialist construction business operating across England, Scotland and Wales with over 50 years of trading. The company offers preservation services from basement waterproofing to timber treatments and values honesty, integrity, reliability and teamwork. Timberwise aims to provide a fantastic working environment and believes people make the difference in the business. Timberwise is expanding and now require a Preservation Sales Surveyor in the Glasgow area, with travel across the region as needed.
Responsibilities
- Day to day surveying and client contact through face-to-face surveys
- Development of a dedicated surveying area
- Selling the company's products and services
- Acting as technical liaison on all aspects of the products
- Effectively planning and prioritising workload
- Working 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some occasional out-of-hours work
Ideal candidate
- Experience in timber and damp, waterproofing and/or property surveying capabilities
- Good knowledge of building construction
- A sales and development background, preferably in a similar product area
- A passion for sales and ability to demonstrate enthusiasm in their role
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
- Experience of contract/site management
- Experience liaising internally and externally on technical matters
- A team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to succeed
- Hold the certificated Surveyor of Timber and Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB) and/or Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW). However, full in-house training and support will be offered to exceptional candidates with transferable skills.
