This is an ideal role for an individual with estimating or project management experience in the joinery industry looking to establish their career working on high-value projects with an exciting company providing bespoke joinery to a range of different clients.
As a joinery estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Estimating costs and preparing quotations for each element of a project ensuring that budget and design briefs are always adhered to.
- Producing tender and quotation proposals along with relevant financial and supporting descriptive information.
- Chasing clients for feedback and updates on the progress of quotes regularly.
- Managing and reviewing the tender and quotation process to ensure the company is developing opportunities on an ongoing basis while being proactive in developing relationships with potential clients.
- Being an excellent and proactive communicator and adept at being the interface between the prospective client, the business and all relevant suppliers.
- Reading and understanding drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Having a clear understanding of financials for projects with value up to £1M+.
- Ensuring project quote details are up to date on the company ERP system prior to handover to the project management team.
- Setting up and coordinating project handover meetings with relevant PM and Buyer.
