As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be field‑based in your assigned territory. You will take full ownership of your territory by building trusted relationships with farmers and distributors, offering tailored, technical advice with a commercial approach, and driving the adoption of innovative solutions that deliver real results on farm – with a particular focus on grassland management and dairy production.
Responsibilities
- Farm Visits & Sales
- Prospecting – cold calling on farms, building relationships and gaining sales.
- Territory Development: Drive and expand on‑farm sales of our premium fertilizers, soil conditioners, and animal nutrition/welfare products.
- Retain existing business with regular visits to ensure products are performing as sold and provide the farms with feedback on crop, soil and animal health.
- Grow business with other solutions that will give the farmers an ROI.
- Being analytical and data driven when recommending solutions or following up on farms.
- Conduct on‑farm trials of products to demonstrate yours and Timac’s products value.
- You will be required to conduct soil sampling on farms in a timely manner, following the TIMAC AGRO UK value proposition.
- You will be required to present the results within a Nutrient Management Plan to each farmer, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
- CRM
- Ensure your CRM is updated regularly with detailed reports of discussions had on farm, details added to farms account.
- Communication
- Be confident at communicating with farmers and different types of people.
- Be able to work on your own and be self‑motivated but also share successes with colleague(s) and support others within the wider TAUK team.
- Be able to communicate well with other businesses and distributors, develop the relationship and leverage this to help grow territory.

- You will need to have a good understanding of grassland and dairy.
- FACTS qualified (or be willing to work towards this).
