Role Description
The Senior Lettings Negotiator is a full-time, on-site role based in Beaconsfield, responsible for managing the lettings process from initial enquiry through to move-in.
Day-to-day activities include handling tenant and landlord enquiries, conducting property viewings, providing informed advice on local market conditions, and negotiating tenancy terms to achieve successful lets.
The role involves preparing and updating property marketing materials, maintaining accurate records on lettings systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant lettings legislation and company procedures.
The Senior Lettings Negotiator will build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and colleagues, proactively following up leads and contributing to branch lettings targets.
This position also supports the training and guidance of less experienced team members, helping to uphold the company’s service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong lettings and estate agency experience, including property viewings, tenant referencing, and tenancy negotiations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships with landlords and tenants.
- Proven customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with accuracy in documentation and attention to detail across multiple properties and tasks.
- Solid knowledge of local property markets and residential lettings legislation, or a strong willingness to learn and keep up to date with regulations.
- Competence with basic IT systems and property management software; comfortable using email, CRM tools, and online marketing platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Beaconsfield, including flexibility to accommodate viewings and client appointments as required.
- Previous experience in a senior or lead negotiator role, and relevant professional qualifications (e. g., ARLA Propertymark or equivalent) are advantageous.
