Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Lead by example, prioritising customer satisfaction. Maintain a customer-focused approach in all operations. Accurately schedule staff to meet demand. Support the team to ensure operational efficiency. Conduct regular store walks from the customer's perspective.
- People: Encourage staff suggestions and address concerns. Provide performance feedback, set goals, and support development. Create a positive team environment, ensuring dignity and respect for all employees, free from discrimination. Manage performance issues in collaboration with HR.
- Driving Sales: Understand sales patterns, popular products, and peak times. Ensure products are well-merchandised and stock levels are sufficient. Support marketing campaigns. Coach staff on upselling and suggestive selling techniques. Identify areas for improvement based on employee incentives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operations: Monitor KPIs such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards. Set a positive example under pressure. Manage weekly stock orders and quality checks. Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment. Manage inventory levels. Handle opening and closing procedures. Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and customer service standards. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and reported promptly. Be flexible to work various shifts as part of the management team.
