The Tim Hortons Management positions assist in managing all aspects of a restaurant's operation to ensure that Tim Hortons standards around people, product, cleanliness, and an exceptional guest experience are fulfilled. The Assistant Manager will also assist in sustaining, directing, and increasing sales growth and profit levels.

  • People Management
    • Assists in recruiting new team members, training, developing, motivating, and encouraging a team to achieve targets.
    • Provides ongoing performance feedback and conducts regular performance reviews.
    • Helps build the restaurant's 'bench strength' by identifying and developing high potential employees for progression.
    • Communicates with all shifts on daily operations and critical areas of focus.
    • Assists with establishing and enforcing security procedures to reduce theft and ensure safety.
  • Financial Management
    • Helps plan and work to budgets, maximise profits, and achieve sales and transaction targets.
    • Controls food, paper, and labour costs.
    • Responsible for daily cash procedures and financial reporting.
  • Operational Management
    • Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining the building and cleanliness.
    • Ensures compliance with applicable legislation including food safety, health and safety, and employment standards.
    • Enforces Tim Hortons operating procedures.
    • Maintains high standards of guest experience and resolves guest complaints.
    • Supports incentive programs and manages team member scheduling.
  • Health & Safety
    • Works in compliance with health and safety legislation.
    • Uses protective equipment as required.
    • Reports injuries, unsafe conditions, and incidents.
    • Enforces safety policies and procedures.
    • Assists in incident investigations and safety improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in food service.
  • Strong team management and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in POS systems, especially Micros POS.
  • Knowledge of food handling and restaurant management.
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • Familiarity with bartending, hotel, and barista operations.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and train staff effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35–40 per week

Benefits: Discounted food and store discount

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday, all 7 days availability required
