THE COMPANY
Private equity real estate firm operating across a broad platform, deploying both institutional and private investor capital. The company’s diversified investment strategy covers its traditional opportunistic strategy, a focus on core plus, income generating, coupon distributing assets, and a long-term secure income core fund for institutional investors.
Their first investment principle is to always try and ensure they preserve the capital invested. Secondly, is to fully explore the multitude of options available to maximise returns.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will gain exposure to the broad elements of a multi-jurisdictional finance team. You will bring your experiences of best practices and operating procedures to enhance the control environment. Technology and AI will be used to drive efficiency, and you will have responsibility for the delivery of timely and accurate consolidated management to internal and external audiences.
You will also hold key relationships with the Board, auditors and tax advisers, as well as managing a small finance team.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the production of accurate and timely management information
- Operating an efficient core financial accounting process
- Identifying/implementing best practice procedures
- Promote companies accounting/consolidation and reporting to partners
- Assisting with Compliance & Reg Data reporting in an FCA regulated environment
- Managing external audit and statutory accounts production by external advisers
- Managing corporation tax and partners tax processes with external advisers and Head of Tax
- Managing team member’s professional development
YOU
- Qualified accountant with Real Estate sector experience
- A curious and commercial mindset with demonstrable evidence of being creative, decisive and accountable
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Agile to the changing needs of a growing business
- Significant experience/interest in using AI/technology to simplify and improve processes
- Private equity and property experience would be advantageous, but not essential
