We’re looking for an Application Support Lead / Manager to oversee the support, maintenance, and enhancement of critical IT applications within a social care business. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of key systems, supporting frontline teams to deliver high-quality care. The successful candidate will lead a small support team, manage system changes, and work closely with stakeholders to drive digital improvements; interfacing closely with the Change team.

You’ll also successfully manage 3rd party technology suppliers, working closely and effectively with them to maintain and improve performance and business efficiencies.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and work closely with a small team of application support specialists responsible for a variety of social care systems such as rostering systems/ booking systems, finance and payroll systems and case management systems.
  • Ensuring timely issue resolution and continuous system performance monitoring.
  • Provide technical support and administration for core applications, including case management and electronic records systems.
  • Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations, working with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Oversee training and user support, ensuring effective system adoption across teams.

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in IT application support lead or management role, preferably in health or social care.
  • Strong understanding of a range of CRM or ERP systems specifically rostering systems / booking systems, finance and payroll systems, case management systems and healthcare IT, including regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and oversee change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with social care or healthcare software (e.g., Liquidlogic, Mosaic, EMIS).
  • Project management experience (PRINCE2, Agile desirable).
