This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact digital transformation programme within a respected UK charity supporting children and young adults with complex needs. The organisation is undertaking a critical programme of change across care, health, and education services, with digital evidence and compliance sitting at the heart of operational delivery.
The organisation has already invested in a number of business critical health and social care systems, but due to operational business demands, this implementation has not been given the focus that it truly requires. Hence why this exciting new contract role has come about!
The business is seeking an experienced Project Delivery/Product Manager to take ownership, bring structure, and drive meaningful adoption across the business. Experience of health and social care (or education) systems or similar is ideally required such as: Arbor, Nourish, Earwig and eMar.
This is not a business as usual project management role. You will be responsible (alongside a very supportive leader!) for picking up, and successfully delivering a digitisation programme that requires strong leadership, resilience, empathy, and hands-on change management capability.
Working closely with programme leadership, directors across Care, Health and Education, IT teams, and operational subject matter experts, you will lead the turnaround and delivery of a mission-critical implementation programme centred around Nourish and associated systems. Success in this role will come from your ability to combine structured project delivery with exceptional stakeholder engagement in a change-resistant environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a health and social care systems implementation programme
- Drive adoption of digital systems across care, health, and education services
- Establish clear project governance, timelines, ownership, and delivery discipline
- Facilitate process mapping, user testing, rollout planning, and operational readiness
- Engage with directors, SMEs, operational teams, and suppliers to ensure alignment and progress
- Build and support user champion networks to improve adoption and reduce resistance
- Identify delivery blockers and confidently challenge where accountability, resource, or engagement is lacking
- Ensure systems and processes support regulatory compliance and evidencing requirements
- Work within a complex, fast-moving operational environment where priorities can frequently shift
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager or Project Lead whose background is firmly rooted in digital transformation within social care and/or health environments. You will be comfortable operating in organisations that are not digitally mature and will understand the realities of implementing change where operational pressures, resistance, and ambiguity are high. You will bring both resilience and emotional intelligence, someone able to influence with empathy while still driving accountability and progress.
Essential Experience- Proven track record delivering end-to-end digital transformation projects within health and/or social care
- Strong project management or project ownership experience
- Experience implementing or rolling out Nourish or comparable care/health systems
- Demonstrable change management capability in operationally busy environments
- Strong stakeholder management experience across senior leadership, operational teams, and SMEs
- Experience with process mapping, user testing, rollout planning, and adoption strategies
- Ability to manage resistance to change and influence non-digitally mature teams
- Confidence working in complex, under-structured, or messy programme environments
- Experience with Arbor, Earwig, or eMAR systems
- Education sector digitisation experience
- Supplier management or third-party configuration experience
- Experience building user champion or super-user models
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Kind, approachable, and emotionally intelligent
- Comfortable challenging constructively
- Practical, hands-on, and delivery-focused
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Sense of humour and ability to build trust quickly
- Opportunity to lead a genuinely business-critical transformation programme
- High-profile role with visible organisational impact
- Strong sponsorship and support from programme leadership
- Chance to turn around a stalled programme and leave a lasting legacy
- Meaningful work within a mission-led organisation supporting vulnerable children and young adults
