Be part of a major business transformation. We're recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to join a Technology & Change team delivering a large-scale, multi-year transformation programme. This is an opportunity to work on projects that will modernise core business systems, improve operational processes and help shape the future of a nationwide organisation.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of IT projects, partnering with stakeholders, developers, architects, QA and delivery teams to translate business needs into practical, high-quality technology solutions. The Role

As a Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering technology projects from initial concept through to implementation. Working across Agile, DevOps and Waterfall environments, you'll be responsible for understanding business challenges, defining requirements, supporting solution design and ensuring successful delivery. This role offers broad exposure across software development, system configuration, reporting, data migration and business process improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders to understand business needs
  • Define project scope, objectives and business requirements
  • Produce user stories, use cases, process maps and functional specifications
  • Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create process flows, data flow diagrams and system interaction models
  • Support data migration activities including mapping, validation and reconciliation
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and technical teams to shape effective solutions
  • Define reporting, dashboard and KPI requirements alongside business stakeholders
  • Prepare test scenarios, acceptance criteria and UAT scripts
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and support business users through testing
  • Assist with deployment planning, cutover activities and post-go-live support
  • Collaborate with developers, QA and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle

About You

You'll be an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys working closely with both technical and business teams and is comfortable managing multiple workstreams within complex IT environments. You'll ideally have experience of:

  • Delivering Business Analysis across IT and business transformation projects
  • Requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops
  • Business process mapping and process improvement
  • Writing user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Data analysis, reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Data migration, system implementation or transformation projects
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution
  • Working within Agile, DevOps and/or Waterfall delivery environments
  • Tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Visio and Excel

Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Desirable Experience

Experience within hospitality, retail or service-based organisations would be advantageous, as would exposure to ERP, CRM, POS or enterprise business systems. Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools, together with BCS, IIBA or Agile certifications, would also be beneficial.
