We are looking for an experienced Maritime Engineer (senior and above) to join our rapidly expanding and ambitious team. We are looking for someone who will break the mould of the standard engineer; we're looking for passion, out-of-the-box thinking, and someone who likes to be part of an ambitious, ever-evolving team. Our ethos is to only take on projects that we enjoy, that excite us, and those that we can give 100% of our energy to.

What we're looking for...

  • Deliver innovative and technical solutions for a wildly varied range of infrastructure projects;
  • Get involved in marinas, ship berths, flood defences, renewable energy schemes, and more;
  • Be client-facing and manage projects from inception to completion;
  • Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients;
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure reports are accurate, understandable, and not completely in jargon;
  • Be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and payments;
  • Support the team to develop by delivering regular coaching and feedback to more junior members and also upward feedback to your seniors.

You have:

  • Experience or technical knowledge in marine structures (2-5 years) or related design experience;
  • A passion or interest relating to the marine environment;
  • A Civil Engineering Degree (or similar).

Our rapid success has been down to the strength of our relationships, and a key part of your role will be to build, develop, and maintain our relationships with contractors, clients, and partners. We like getting out to site to meet our clients, literally seeing the project through from concept to completion. We also value industry networking events, so be prepared to be social too!

We'll make sure you're challenged and supported every step of the way with your career development. Being a rapidly growing start-up, you have the exciting opportunity to join us at the beginning of our journey and help grow the business, so bring your ideas on innovation and progression and we'll listen with open ears.

What's in it for you...

  • You'll lead the way in developing our rapid growth and success, working closely with the Directors;
  • We pride ourselves in not being like the dated, stiff engineering firms of the past, breaking the mould and offering flexibility and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere;
  • We are building a culture of trust and want to put you at the heart of the business.

That's why we offer things like:

  • Flexible working - work up to 2 days a week from home;
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory AND Christmas break;
  • Incredible development and career growth;
  • A benefits package to be proud of i.e. salary sacrifice schemes, pension contributions, health insurance, cycle to work, and more.

It's also important for us to get to know you as a person. Our team is awesome, and we're looking for someone who will bring their personality to work. If you've got hobbies or other interests outside work, then shout about them, let us get to know you!

The first step is to email your CV to us, and we'll be in touch. Don't forget, we're looking for personality and enthusiasm, so include something personable in your email rather than just writing 'please find my CV attached'!
