This is an opportunity to join a growing UK software scale-up at a pivotal moment as they build a world-class engineering organisation in Manchester. They are investing significantly in a new AI-first platform and are building out the core team that will define its long-term technical direction.
As an early architectural hire, you will play a central role in shaping the platform’s foundations. The work spans strategic architectural decisions and hands-on design, partnering closely with engineering, data and product teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned to the organisation’s goals.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience as a Solutions Architect or Principal Architect working on complex, distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Agentic AI, ideally with experience applying it in production environments.
- Solid knowledge of cloud-native architectures, including microservices and distributed systems.
- Understanding of secure-by-design approaches and modern security practices.
- Experience with API design, integration patterns and contemporary frameworks (.NET, Node.js, React).
- Practical experience with AWS or Azure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
