About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Assembly & Test Technician to join them in Wolverhampton. This role is crucial in designing and maintaining bespoke, high-profile mechanical products for the aerospace industry. You'll be working with exceptionally close tolerances, ensuring the highest standards of precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault Finding: Diagnose issues with flight-critical components and compile detailed survey reports.
- Assembly: Precisely assemble flight components.
- Inspection: Use measuring equipment like Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, and Height Gauges to inspect components.
- Documentation: Work from engineering drawings and maintenance manuals, complete quality audits, and manage the release to service of repaired actuators.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Apprentice Trained: Ideally within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Proven background in engineering/manufacturing, preferably within aerospace or related industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of assembly and test manufacturing processes.
- Attention to Detail: Competent in reading and following set procedures.
