We are seeking a Solicitor to join our busy Family department in Stockton to undertake public law children work. You must be capable of running your own public law caseload and will work as part of a large legal aid family law team covering a variety of family law disciplines. This role offers the opportunity of career progression within the firm.

Main duties and requirements:

  • Run your own public law caseload.
  • Advise clients.
  • Draft court documents.
  • Advocate at court.
  • Have a full understanding of the Legal Aid process.

You will need to have a genuine passion for this area of law with a commitment to providing an excellent and prompt service to the public. You should be a qualified Solicitor. You will need to have excellent time management skills and good PC and case management skills. Children Panel status is preferable but not a requirement and there is scope to progress to this status within the role.
