As we scale and evolve, we’re looking for an exceptional Senior People Partner to help us build the organisation we need for what comes next. This is intentionally a broad role with genuine ownership and exposure to some of Tillo's most important organisational decisions.

This role will be based in our Hove office 2 days a week.

We're in the business of rewards and incentives, so we know a thing or two about the importance of giving back. We can't grow as a business without growing as individuals, so we are committed to providing a workplace where passionate, driven individuals can thrive. We value collaboration, trust, positivity, and a willingness to learn - only by working as a team will we reach our goals.

Tillo is entering an exciting new chapter. We’re an ambitious, international FinTech operating across the UK, Europe, US and South Africa. As we scale and evolve through acquisition, we’re looking for an exceptional Senior People Partner to help us build the organisation we need for what comes next.

Reporting to and working closely with our Chief People Officer, this is a broad, influential role combining senior People partnering with Employee Relations, organisational change and leadership of People Operations. We need someone comfortable moving between strategy and delivery. You might be challenging a leader on organisational design, navigating a complex ER situation, supporting acquisition integration or working out how we make our People operations simpler and more scalable.

This isn't about executing an existing People playbook. We want someone excited to help write the next one.

Day to day this role will:

  • Partner, coach & challenge
  • Be a trusted People partner to senior leaders, bringing strong commercial judgement and constructive challenge.
  • Coach managers to become stronger leaders and build high-performing teams as we scale.
  • Translate business priorities into People plans, identifying organisational risks, capability gaps and opportunities.
  • Use data, insight and good judgement to influence decisions and build compelling business cases.

Lead through growth & change

  • Partner with the CPO and leadership team on organisational change, acquisition integration and transformation.
  • Lead and support restructures, consultations and complex change where required.
  • Help shape our organisational design, structures and capabilities for the next stage of growth.
  • Work closely with Talent and Finance on workforce planning, headcount and people budgets.

Be our senior ER expert

  • Lead complex ER across performance, capability, absence, disciplinary, grievance and exits.
  • Bring excellent UK employment law knowledge alongside strong working knowledge of European and international employment practices.
  • Coach managers to confidently handle difficult people situations rather than creating dependency on People.
  • Navigate sensitive situations with sound judgement, pace and commercial pragmatism.

Lead & evolve People Operations

  • Lead our People Operations capability and manage and develop our People Operations Analyst.
  • Own scalable employee lifecycle processes, policies, employment documentation and People controls.
  • Make HiBob work brilliantly, increasing automation, self-service and operational efficiency.
  • Manage our international EOR arrangements and support our growing international population.
  • Use People data and tools such as Ravio to generate insight and inform reward, workforce and organisational decisions.

What we’re looking for

  • You’re likely an experienced Senior People Partner, HRBP or Head of People who has operated in a scaling, commercially demanding business.
  • Significant experience partnering with and constructively challenging senior leaders.
  • Excellent UK employment law and complex ER expertise.
  • Strong international People experience, ideally across Europe and EOR arrangements; US and/or South African experience would be a bonus.
  • Experience of M&A, integration or significant organisational transformation.
  • Strong organisational design, workforce planning and change capability.
  • Experience owning People Operations, systems and scalable processes.
  • Commercial judgement; you can connect People decisions to business outcomes and aren't afraid to make a recommendation.
  • Experience managing and developing others.
  • Confidence with People technology; HiBob and Ravio experience would be a bonus.

Above all, you’ll be practical, progressive and comfortable with pace, change and ambiguity. You’ll know when something needs careful thought and when we simply need to make a sensible decision and move. You'll enjoy building and improving things, challenging convention and helping leaders raise the bar, while never losing sight of the employee experience.

This is intentionally a broad role with genuine ownership and exposure to some of Tillo's most important organisational decisions. You'll work closely with our CPO and senior leadership team, with the opportunity for your remit and team to grow as Tillo does. For someone who ultimately wants to become a Head of People or CPO, you'll get the breadth, complexity and commercial exposure to make this a brilliant next step.
