Job Summary: We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients into long-term customers. This role is both commercially and technically focused, requiring the ability to manage complex sales cycles, engage multiple stakeholders, and close mid-market to enterprise deals. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the sales process, from lead generation through to contract and go-live, while delivering against a £250k+ Year 1 revenue.
Day to day this role will:
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, events, and networking.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and implementation.
- Qualify inbound opportunities by assessing customer needs and prioritising high-potential leads for the sales pipeline.
- Conduct structured discovery to understand client needs and business objectives.
- Develop and present tailored commercial proposals aligned to client requirements.
- Negotiate commercial agreements with UK and international clients.
- Engage and manage multiple stakeholders across client organisations.
- Work closely with internal teams including Product, Marketing, and Brand teams.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline with accurate forecasting in CRM.
- Represent Tillo at relevant industry events to promote the brand and generate leads.
- Deliver against a £250k+ annual new business revenue target in year 1.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:- 3–6+ years’ experience in B2B sales (SaaS, fintech, payments, or API-based platforms).
- Proven track record of achieving £200k–£500k+ annual sales targets.
- Experience managing full sales cycles from prospecting to close.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to understand and communicate technical solutions clearly.
- Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in gift cards, rewards, incentives, or loyalty sectors.
- Exposure to global or international sales environments.
- Additional European language skills.
