Who we’re looking for: Business Development Manager with both technical and commercial focus, and a proven ability to build and nurture new commercial relationships.

The challenge: You will take full ownership of the sales process, from lead generation through to contract and go-live, while delivering against a £250k+ Year 1 revenue.

Where you’ll work: This role will be based in our Hove office 2 days a week.

Job Summary: We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients into long‑term customers. This role is both commercially and technically focused, requiring the ability to manage complex sales cycles, engage multiple stakeholders, and close mid‑market to enterprise deals.

Day to day this role will:

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, events, and networking.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close and implementation.
  • Qualify inbound opportunities by assessing customer needs and prioritising high‑potential leads for the sales pipeline.
  • Conduct structured discovery to understand client needs and business objectives.
  • Develop and present tailored commercial proposals aligned to client requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with UK and international clients.
  • Engage and manage multiple stakeholders across client organisations.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Product, Marketing, and Brand teams.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline with accurate forecasting in CRM.
  • Represent Tillo at relevant industry events to promote the brand and generate leads.
  • Deliver against a £250k+ annual new business revenue target in year 1.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:
  • 3–6+ years’ experience in B2B sales (SaaS, fintech, payments, or API‑based platforms).
  • Proven track record of achieving £200k–£500k+ annual sales targets.
  • Experience managing full sales cycles from prospecting to close.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder sales processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to understand and communicate technical solutions clearly.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Desirable:
  • Experience in gift cards, rewards, incentives, or loyalty sectors.
  • Exposure to global or international sales environments.
  • Additional European language skills.
