The predicted salary is between 21445 - 26806 £ per year.

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30, with occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Salary: £26,806.42 FTE (£21,445.14 per year, pro-rata for 30 hours per week).

Place of work: L'Arche Highland Workshops, based in and around Inverness.

Contract type: Part-time, 12-month contract.

Main Purpose Of The Role: The L’Arche workshops offer a blended model of support for people with learning disabilities in the Highlands: building-based workshops, day service, an outreach service of activities in the community, and the offer of virtual sessions. The role will be primarily based within the work service, with the responsibility of leading and managing the workshops; maintaining and developing opportunities for people with learning disabilities who work there, while enabling them to work in a creative, dignified, life-affirming way to reach their goals as set out in their work plans.

As Workshop Leader you will ensure that our support and care is not only consistent with Care Inspectorate, NHS Highland and SSSC requirements but also with the values and mission of L’Arche.

Key Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of Care Inspectorate and of SSSC standards.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in social care working with people with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to be service user focused: to think and act in person-centred ways.
  • Knowledge of person-centred thinking and approaches.
  • Knowledge of current care and support legislation and good practice, including adult protection and capacity issues.
  • Knowledge of current issues and trends affecting the support of persons with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Ability to competently and safely use tools and machinery and produce high-quality finished products.

You may have experience in the following roles: Supported Living Leader, Learning Disability Team Leader, Autism Support Leader, Care Team Leader, Service Leader, Deputy Care Leader, Learning Disability Service Leader, Community Support Leader, Social Care Team Leader, etc.
