Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate in over 35 sites throughout Central Scotland, the North East of England and East Anglia. Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Relief Concrete Batcher covering our 5 concrete batching plants in East Anglia.
The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibility for the day-to-day safe and efficient running of a nominated concrete plant(s) throughout the region.
- Support the Area Concrete Production Manager and incumbent concrete batchers throughout the East Anglian region.
- Promoting and complying with company Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Support the Area Concrete Production Manager to ensure all mixing equipment is maintained in line with company standards to ensure the plants maximise their output potential.
- To assist and ensure all raw materials are ordered in a timely manner and input via the control systems to ensure accurate stock management.
- Responsibility for the accurate production and quality of Ready-mix products throughout the region.
- Ensuring timely delivery of raw materials.
- Housekeeping of yard and stock areas throughout the region, be able to identify and implement improvements.
- Assist with routine and planned maintenance of the yards and plants.

- Good understanding of concrete plants, in operational and maintenance aspects.
- An understanding of concrete mixes and their raw materials.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and ability to follow procedures.
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business when required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually as required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality standards to our customers.
- A degree of computer literacy.
- Assist, deputise and cover the incumbent concrete shippers and batchers during busy periods, and provide effective cover for holidays and sickness leave.
- Be willing to travel throughout the East Anglian Region.
- Full driving license.
