Overview

Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate in over 35 sites throughout Central Scotland, the North East of England and East Anglia.

Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 Mixer Driver based at our Tams Loup Quarry. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the delivery and collection of products to customer sites while maintaining company high standards of Health and Safety at all times.
  • Maintain the company vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness to represent the company at all times.
  • Comply with the WTD and EU driving rules to ensure full compliance is achieved with no infringements.
  • Ensure HGV licence and CPC cards are up to date and valid.
  • Asphalt delivery
  • Concrete delivery
  • Recycled products
  • Internal stock delivery/transfer
  • Ensure vehicle is clean, safe and legally roadworthy
  • Defect reporting
  • Manage drivers hours on tachograph
  • Legally compliant breaks

What We Need From You

  • Valid HGV license with CPC card.
  • Experience driving mixers would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with digital tachographs.
  • Strong awareness of Driver Regulations specifically relating to Driver Hours & Working Time Regulations.
  • A keen interest and commitment to Health and Safety, and Environmental matters.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business when required including alternate weekends.
