ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to continued success and expansion, we're seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team at our Tulliallan site near Alloa. This is an exciting opportunity for an HGV Mechanic or Plant Fitter who wants job security, excellent development opportunities, and the chance to earn significant additional income through regular overtime. Our HGV Mechanic will play a vital role in maintaining our diverse fleet to the highest standards, ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out and arrange routine and statutory inspections, maintenance, and repairs to VOSA standards
- Service scheduling and preparation of vehicles for MOT Testing
- Fault finding and vehicle diagnostics
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
- Maintain all vehicle records to the required standards
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure necessary parts are available
- Tyre management across our fleet
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Essential:
- Extensive mechanical knowledge and experience working with HGVs
- Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality standards
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually on your own initiative
- Willingness to work regular overtime to maximise earnings and meet business needs
- Flexible approach to working hours in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential - training provided):
- Experience working with heavy plant equipment as a Plant Fitter
- Class 1 / 2 HGV licence
- SVQ Level 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance, NVQ Level 3, or similar equivalent qualification (training will be provided)
