An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transport Co-ordinator/Shipper based in Blackborough End (PE32 1SW) coordinating deliveries and stock management/movement across the East Anglian region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage incoming order requests, ensuring efficient use of drivers and stocks.
- Support the transport department to co-ordinate scheduled work across the fleet.
- Process customer orders and assist with general enquiries, maintaining and growing client relationships to ensure excellence in customer service.
- Liaise with customers and internal sales, commercial and accounts teams.
- Liaising with customers to process and schedule orders for delivery.
- Inputting, updating and maintaining customer data.
- Have a good geographical knowledge of the East Anglian road network.
- Planning and organisation of vehicles to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Dealing with general customer enquiries, i.e. orders, deliveries.
- Assist with scheduling in line with customer delivery requirements.
- Liaise with other sites regarding customer requirements.
- General office administration, filing, data input, checking emails.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU
- Logistical and/or planning experience.
- Experience in transport, aggregate and concrete operations is desirable but not essential.
- Polite, professional and courteous approach to dealing with customers.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform under pressure, adapt quickly and prioritise to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong relationship building skills, internally and externally.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- IT Skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Be prepared to progress and develop within our business through training and gaining qualifications, if required.
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
