An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Manager based at our Mortars and Renders Quarry, Hullerhill Kilwinning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out daily safety, maintenance and service checks;
  • Safe and Efficient Operation of the Equipment;
  • Work closely and follow instructions from the Production Manager;
  • Follow the Quarry Development Plan;
  • Meet site Productivity Targets;
  • Integrate with and work as part of a small team;
  • Maintaining existing and implementing new Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and Training;
  • Managing and overseeing the safe operation of the Quarry and the planned preventative maintenance of all site equipment;
  • Ensuring the Plant meets operational and production requirements;
  • Proactively managing both mandatory training and developmental training of staff.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU

  • At least 3 years’ experience managing and leading teams;
  • Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation;
  • Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent);
  • Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP;
  • A good understanding of plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.
