Great choice, outstanding value, market leading customer service. That’s Topps Tiles. We are continuously investing in our organisation to give our teams the tools they need to stay ahead of the competition with exciting plans for the future. We’d love you to help us make those plans happen.
First things first: you don’t need to know about tiles to work in a Topps Tile store. If retail’s your speciality and you share our passion for exceptional customer service, you’ll make a great Deputy Store Manager. Working alongside the Store Manager, you’ll inspire, manage and develop a small store team, driving sales and profitability while delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll help team members to become product experts and give them the confidence to make the most of sales opportunities and build strong relationships with our retail and trade customers through coaching, training, or sharing what you know and your experiences. You’ll continuously look for exciting ways to improve your store and the customer experience. Having an interest in interior design or being a creative person helps you inspire customers in their style choices using leading edge technology.
No two days are the same: you might be getting creative, or helping with traders. Lifting tiles and putting away deliveries are part of the job.
A store customer’s experience should be enjoyable and colleagues should love working there. You’ve worked in retail, you’ve led teams, and you can show where you’ve exceeded sales and profit targets. You know the ingredients that make magical customer experiences and you can get the best out of your team. As Deputy Manager, you’re can-do, will-do, and you lead by example. You coach and support your team, share advice and knowledge, and you are commercially switched on with business acumen to stay ahead of the competition.
In a culture where hard work is recognised and great results are rewarded, you can look forward to uncapped personal commission and company bonus schemes that will give you a share of our success and substantially increase your base wage. Then there’s a generous staff discount, a Share Save scheme, pension and life assurance, a holiday allowance that increases with length of service, and a wide range of other benefits. We promote talent from within with an individual development plan and lots of training on offer. Flexibility to cover store opening hours including weekends is required, but there’s no evening work and no work on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day. You may be asked to work in alternative locations if required.
Big things are happening at Topps Tiles. As the UK’s leading tile specialist selling only the very best quality on-trend products, £1 of every £3 spent in the UK domestic tile market is spent with us. We have grown to incorporate over 1,500 specialist experts and over 350 stores nationwide. This is an exciting time to join the Topps Tiles family. We’re as big on career opportunities as we are on outstanding service and great value. After all, it’s the brilliant, friendly, knowledgeable people that make us special.
Due to health and safety reasons and the nature of the work in our stores, we would invite applications from those 18 or over.
