Interim Deputy S151 Officer
We’re looking for an experienced local authority finance professional to step into a senior interim assignment and provide additional technical capacity and leadership to a council finance function. The role will have a particular focus on year-end readiness, statutory accounts, financial reporting, alongside supporting and developing the wider finance team.
We’re keen to hear from candidates who:
- Have operated at senior level within local government finance
- Bring strong technical accounting knowledge
- Have significant year-end and statutory accounts experience
- Are a CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified accountant
- Can provide credible challenge, identify gaps and be a safe pair of hands
This is initially a 6-month assignment, inside IR 35, with an ASAP start. The authority is open to part time (3/4 days per week), although candidates will need to be on site for a minimum of 2 days per week.
