As our new Director of People , you’ll be a key member of the Executive Team leading the development and delivery of our People Strategy. This is a unique opportunity to influence the culture, capacity, and capability of a growing care organisation that puts people at the heart of everything it does. About the Role
You’ll lead on all aspects of people strategy, including workforce planning, recruitment and retention, learning and development, employee engagement, and internal communications. You’ll also oversee our HR, occupational health, and volunteer functions, ensuring we remain compliant, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role, where you’ll work closely with the Chief Executive and senior leaders to ensure Bolton Cares is a great place to work and a great place to receive care.

About you
We’re seeking a confident and compassionate leader with:

  • Substantial senior-level experience in People Strategy
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality services and outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience of leading workforce transformation and growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A CIPD qualification and a degree in HR or a related field
