Shifts rotating every 02 weeks between days and nights.

Day Shift: 06:00 - 14:00

Night Shift: 14:00 - 22:00

Overall purpose of job: The role provides expert direction to the team to improve reliability and realise strategic and tactical goals for the site operations. Reliability leader has hands-on responsibility to provide direct support to the shifts and the long-term asset care on site and take responsibility for a team of shift Engineering technicians in absence of the Asset care lead.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Complete and track work orders/jobs allocated on the CMMS system on a daily basis.
  • Develop maintenance plans and asset care packages according to site safety procedures and risk assessments.
  • Manage shift-based engineering activities in collaboration with the operating team to achieve shift targets.
  • Develop and implement training plans to ensure necessary skill mix and capability within the shift-based team.
  • Identify and raise requisitions for spares used through the operations administrator.
  • Complete allocated PPM tasks and submit PPM reports to the Asset Care lead.
  • Support and take key roles in the team such as duty holder, First aider/Fire Marshall.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot issues specific to individual production equipment to help the plan performance to reach KPIs.
  • Carry out continuous improvement tasks identified.
  • Supervise contractors on site for specific tasks and take responsibility for them whilst on site.
  • Issue and close work permits if authorised to do so.
  • Always maintain tools and equipment in the workshop in good working order.
  • Comply with site technical and food safety standards.
  • Maintain critical infrastructure on site as required.

Accountability:

  • Reporting to the Asset Care Lead with a dotted line to the site Manager.
  • Follow GMP, SHE and Engineering procedures.
  • Support production prioritising safety, quality and production output.
  • Comply with legislative and statutory requirements.
  • Demonstrate company values and follow company policies at all times.

  • Ideally, can supervise a small team in the absence of the asset care lead.
  • Present asset care plans and plant reliability plan reports to senior Management.

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Electrical and Mechanical qualified within the following range Degree/HND/HNC/OND/ONC/Btech or level 3 NVQ or above.
  • 18th edition wiring regulation, City & Guilds 236/2360 parts 1,2 and C (electrical installation or similar).
  • Experience working on mechanical and electrical aspects of machines and setting up of production equipment.
  • FLT licence.
  • PC/IT literate.
  • Relevant experience or certification in machine operation/Engineering operations.
  • Proven industry experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
