Exciting Opportunity for HGV Class 2 Drivers in Maidstone, Kent!

Based in Maidstone, Kent, our client is a top-tier logistics company renowned for its dynamic and fast-paced operations. Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, we have the perfect position for you!
Location:Maidstone, Kent
Shift Pattern:Sunday to Friday, start times between 00:00 and 02:00
Pay Rate:
Days: per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to per hour, rising to after 12 weeks
Full Assessment Required:Prior to commencement

Key Responsibilities:
Thorough Vehicle Inspections:
- Conduct comprehensive daily checks to ensure your HGV Class 2 vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
- Report any defects or issues promptly to your supervisor to guarantee timely repairs and maintenance.
Efficient Route Planning:
- Plan routes meticulously to guarantee punctual deliveries, maximising productivity while adhering to schedules.
- Utilise GPS technology and other navigation tools to avoid traffic and optimise route efficiency.
Multi-Drop Deliveries: Execute an average of 15 drops per shift, ensuring goods are delivered promptly and in immaculate condition. - Securely fasten and protect a variety of goods during transportation to prevent damage.
Loading and Unloading:
- Safely load and unload goods at various delivery points, ensuring items are palletised and protected during transit.
- Use appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, to ensure safety and efficiency.
Accurate Check-In/Check-Out System:
- Use the company’s system to effectively track and document deliveries and returns.
- Ensure all items scanned are accurate to avoid discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
Comprehensive Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, collecting, signing, and filing necessary documents upon delivery or collection. - Maintain records of delivery notes, invoices, and any customer feedback for future reference.
Exceptional Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with store personnel, addressing and resolving any queries or issues professionally and promptly.
- Build positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe handling and transportation of goods.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements:
- Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
