Key Responsibilities:
Daily Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections to ensure your HGV Class 1 vehicle is always in impeccable condition.
Promptly report any defects or issues to your supervisor to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
Route Planning: Expertly plan your routes to ensure timely deliveries across the UK, maximising productivity while adhering to schedules. Utilise GPS technology and other navigation tools to avoid traffic and optimise route efficiency.
Container Transportation: Efficiently transport containers from Felixstowe to various destinations across the UK, ensuring deliveries are punctual and in pristine condition. Handle containers with care, ensuring they are securely fastened and protected to prevent damage during transit.
Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload containers at various delivery points, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transit.
Use appropriate equipment such as cranes or forklifts to ensure safety and efficiency.
Check-In/Check-Out System: Utilise the company’s check-in/check-out system for effective tracking and documentation of deliveries and returns. Ensure all items scanned are accurate to avoid discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected, signed, and filed correctly upon delivery or collection.
Maintain records of delivery notes, invoices, and any customer feedback for future reference.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing and resolving any queries or issues professionally and promptly.
Build positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including safe handling and transportation of goods.

Requirements:
Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
