We are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team, delivering our AMP8 programme for Thames Water across the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and Thames Valley regions.
Tilbury Douglas has already been allocated circa £250m of projects in the region as part of the significantly enlarged AMP8 programme running to 2030.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of projects at Thames Water Treatment Works, with schemes ranging from £2.5m to £25m and incorporating civil, mechanical, electrical and ICA works.
You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, taking responsibility for safe, high‑quality delivery while building strong relationships with Thames Water, our supply chain and other key stakeholders.
- Key Duties
- Lead projects from planning through to successful completion, ensuring excellent performance across safety, health, wellbeing, environment, programme, cost and quality.
- Recruit, lead and develop high‑performing project teams, promoting collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships across Thames Water, project teams, supply chain partners and end users.
- Manage project budgets, commercial performance and risk, using KPIs to monitor progress, identify efficiencies and drive improvements.
- Champion innovation, sustainability and digital ways of working, including the adoption of A‑Site, our Integrated Management System (IMS), and modern construction and programme management techniques.
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction or infrastructure projects within a main contractor environment.
You’ll bring
- Strong leadership, project management, commercial and financial capability, with experience delivering complex projects safely, on time and within budget.
- An HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant construction‑related discipline.
- A valid CSCS card and SMSTS qualification, together with a strong understanding of UK health and safety requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop effective client relationships at different levels of seniority.
- An understanding of modern delivery approaches such as MMC, Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management and Production Thinking; professional accreditation and experience with A‑Site are desirable.
