We are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join our Infrastructure team, delivering AMP8 water and wastewater projects across multiple sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team delivering a substantial programme of treatment works schemes, ranging from capital maintenance projects to complex multi-disciplinary upgrades.
Typically valued between £2m and £15m, projects will involve civil, mechanical, electrical and ICA works within live operational environments.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and designers, you will supervise the safe and efficient delivery of electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, asset standards and programme requirements.
- Key Duties
- Supervise electrical installation activities, providing strong safety, health, wellbeing and environmental leadership and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate site activities, including pre-work surveys, Safe Systems of Work, Toolbox Talks and five-week look-ahead planning, working closely with civil and mechanical teams.
- Maintain accurate site and quality records, including inspections, ITPs, testing records, as-built information, site diaries, labour returns and allocation sheets.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors and other stakeholders, supporting commissioning and handover activities.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, promote best practice and continuous improvement, and support the use of digital tools and Lean Construction principles.
About You
You will be a practical and technically capable construction professional with experience supervising electrical works, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.
You will bring
- Experience as a Site Supervisor for a principal contractor within water, wastewater or a related infrastructure environment.
- An HNC/HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- SMSTS or SSSTS, an appropriate CSCS Card and National Water Hygiene Card, with 18th Edition advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of construction health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, with the ability to coordinate subcontractors and direct labour effectively.
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, together with a full UK driving licence.
Experience using Dalux and a First Aid at Work qualification would be advantageous.
