We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large, complex construction project within our Building team in the South East. This is a high‑profile role with full responsibility for project performance, from site mobilisation through to completion and handover.
You will operate as the “number one” on site, with the autonomy to lead your team, influence key decisions, and drive successful project outcomes. Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to quality standards, and within budget.
As our Project Manager, you will:
- Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, including programme, commercial performance, quality, and risk management.
- Lead and develop the project team, setting clear direction and fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout delivery and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all site activities.
- Drive programme and cost control, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise project performance and profitability.
About You
You will be a confident and capable construction professional with proven experience delivering projects as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager within a Tier 1 or similar contractor environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrable experience leading projects as a “number one,” ideally on schemes £10m+.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, with the ability to manage cost and value effectively.
- In‑depth technical construction knowledge and a clear understanding of project delivery risks.
- Experience working under NEC forms of contract.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong planning and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong client focus.
