Tilbury Douglas is recruiting an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a major £60m+ Thames Water Sewage Treatment Works upgrade under NEC4 Option C. This is a high-profile Design & Build project within a long-term framework, offering full commercial ownership from pre-construction through final account.
What You’ll Do
- Lead commercial strategy, governance, risk and financial performance across the project lifecycle
- Act as senior commercial interface with client, delivery teams and supply chain
- Drive procurement, cost planning, forecasting and cashflow control
- Manage NEC contracts, change control, compensation events and final accounts
- Lead and develop a commercial team (5+ direct reports)
- Deliver value engineering and proactive risk management
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience on major projects (£60m+) with a Tier 1 contractor
- Strong Design & Build and NEC3/NEC4 Option C expertise
- Track record delivering projects through to final account
- Senior-level commercial leadership and stakeholder management skills
Desirable: Water sector experience (Thames Water ideal), pre-construction leadership, RICS (or working towards)
