We are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our Regional Building Business Unit, supporting projects across the West Midlands regions. This role will report directly to the Regional Directors and play a key part in maintaining quality, compliance, and safety standards across major construction projects.
Working on projects ranging from £5m to £100m across the health, education, defence, and commercial sectors, you will ensure all works comply with Employer’s Requirements, company BMS processes, and project-specific quality standards. This role will involve regular travel across regional sites and offices.
- Carry out site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Monitor construction quality, identify defects, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and recorded.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, photographs, and reports in line with BMS procedures.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project teams to provide technical guidance and resolve quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including coaching site teams and contributing to quality assurance processes.
You will be a quality-focused construction professional with strong technical knowledge and experience working on complex building projects:
- Experience in quality control, inspections, or Clerk of Works duties on projects of similar size and complexity.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, Building Regulations, and quality compliance standards.
- Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant CSCS Card and SMSTS certification.
