The Opportunity

Working closely with our Social Value Manager, you will support the South West regional business unit, helping to deliver and monitor the South West Social Value Strategy. We are looking for a confident, organised and outgoing individual with a genuine interest in Social Value and Sustainability, who is passionate about making a positive impact in the communities we work in. This is an opportunity for a travel-flexible Social Value Coordinator to drive delivery across a large South West patch and support growing regional demands.

What you will be doing

  • Supporting the development and delivery of social value strategies and action plans across construction projects, aligned with company objectives and local community needs.
  • Engaging with local stakeholders including community groups, local authorities and charities to identify social value opportunities and build meaningful partnerships.
  • Coordinating early careers engagement, employment initiatives and community activities that create local opportunities and long-term benefits.
  • Working with project managers and site teams to embed social value considerations into project planning and delivery.
  • Monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, frameworks and industry standards relating to social value and community benefits.
  • Preparing, producing and presenting social value reports and case studies, demonstrating impact, outcomes and areas for improvement.
  • Helping to ensure the business creates a positive, lasting legacy in the communities where we operate.

What we will need from you

  • A strong interest in Social Value within the construction industry.
  • Good IT skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate reports.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, regulators and the wider public.
  • An understanding of using appropriate communication methods for different audiences and situations.
  • A diligent, proactive approach, with a commitment to raising the profile and reputation of the business.
  • Knowledge of the South West area and local community groups (desirable).
  • An understanding of social value measurement frameworks such as TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures).
  • Proficiency in using social media to support engagement and promote social value activity.
