Tilbury Douglas is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of upcoming projects, ensuring financial control, risk management, and contract compliance. You’ll work closely with the Managing QS and project teams to deliver projects successfully from a commercial perspective.
What you’ll do:
- Support commercial procedures and best practice across projects
- Assist with sub-contract procurement, tendering, and contract administration
- Prepare cost/value reports, manage variations, and support change control
- Monitor sub-contractor performance and payments
- Contribute to delay records, extensions of time, and dispute avoidance
- Provide guidance to junior commercial staff
What we’re looking for:
- Understanding of construction industry and standard contracts
- Strong skills in measurement, valuation, and interpreting drawings/specifications
- Experience preparing reports, pricing variations, and managing procurement
- Knowledge of CIS, commercial legislation, and cost management
- Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICES) or working towards preferred
- Experience using COINS beneficial
- Experience in education/healthcare projects a plus
