We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our team. This role would suit an experienced administrator or an individual looking to develop their career within a construction environment.

Location: Birmingham

Working as part of a busy project team, you will provide administrative support across a range of project activities, with a particular focus on document control and information management. You will assist in the storage, management, tracking, and distribution of project documentation in line with company processes, procedures, and policies, helping to ensure information remains accurate, accessible, and up to date throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, supporting the flow of project information, maintaining records, and assisting with the preparation of documentation required for project completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to project teams, including document management, filing, record maintenance, and data entry.
  • Assist with the administration of document control and collaborative software platforms, ensuring project information is accurately uploaded, tracked, and distributed.
  • Set up projects using predefined templates and maintain document trackers, schedules, and drawing registers.
  • Manage user access permissions and support colleagues in the effective use of document management systems and company processes.
  • Support project completion and handover activities by collating, checking, and maintaining project documentation and records.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with excellent administrative skills and a strong attention to detail. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. You will bring:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a construction, engineering, or project-based environment.
  • Knowledge of collaborative software platforms such as SharePoint, Dalux, Asite, or similar document management systems (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro (or similar PDF software) and a willingness to support document control processes and best practice.

Please note that this role will require you to travel to sites across the region and therefore will require you to hold a valid driving license.
