Our Regional Building business has a strong track record in delivering construction and engineering projects both regionally and nationally for our customers across a wide variety of sectors. Our office locations and well-established local supplier relationships make us a trusted provider of regional development services.
The Bid Management team works on both new business opportunities and the process of keeping current clients. This involves engaging with senior stakeholders across Tilbury Douglas to ensure that timelines are met, content is delivered, tailored, and presented. The role will provide you with the opportunity to work on providing the technical content for the bid and to work with the design team to ensure a polished and professional final product.
What you will be doing:
- Undertake bid and project management activities in support of the Bid and Project Management Team.
- Prepare bid documentation such as pre-qualification and tender documents.
- Assist with the creation of bids and proposals.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of the project schedule.
- Support with updating budgetary information.
- Provide assistance for the provision of governance and support on project schedule generation.
- Administer and maintain the project risk and opportunity register.
- Provide support in performance measurement and variance reporting.
- Help to establish best practices and procedures for win-work activity.
- Support and identify the creation of new bid materials.
- Respond to ad-hoc marketing queries and requests for information.
Entry Requirements:
- Holds a degree in a relevant subject such as English Literature or English Language or Creative Writing.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

- Experience gained from a year in industry or summer placement (with a Construction or Civil Engineering Contractor - highly desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An inquisitive mindset and a passion for precision and accuracy.
- Organised and thrives on deadlines and structure.
- Excellent general IT skills with experience of MS packages.
- Ability to write clear and precise reports.
- Self-motivated with the enthusiasm to learn and develop.
